About Curry Pot BKK

Curry Pot BKK sits in Tuol Tom Poung, Phnom Penh and draws a steady crowd of locals, expats and visitors. It is not chasing trends, and that is part of the appeal: you get a proper meal, a fair bill and staff who know the menu.

On the menu

You will find indian here. Prices stay friendly, which is a big part of why people keep coming back. The cooking is the draw rather than the setting, and the menu is broad enough that a mixed group will all find something.

The verdict so far

With over 337 reviews and a 4.7 score, the feedback is steady and mostly about the food and the welcome. The reviews that stand out tend to mention the same two or three dishes and the service, which is a better signal than the number alone.

Around here

Tuol Tom Poung has its own character within Phnom Penh, and Curry Pot BKK is part of what keeps people coming back to the area. Phnom Penh is compact enough that you can pair this with a museum, a market or the riverfront in the same afternoon.

How to get there

Getting here is straightforward by tuk-tuk or a ride-hailing app; give the driver the name and the area rather than a street number, which is how most people navigate in Cambodia. Fares for a ride like this are low by most standards, and agreeing the price or using the app rate up front avoids the usual haggle at tourist-heavy spots.

Before you go

It is open every day. Lunchtime and early evening are the safe windows; later in the night some places wind the kitchen down before the listed closing time. It is an easy stop if you are already around Tuol Tom Poung.

First of all, the service was amazing! Really nice staffs, they were smiling and outgoing. I asked them for a charger because my phone was dead and they said yes with no hesitation and their recommendations were fantastic. The owner of the restaurant is also a fantastic person. Secondly, the price of the food; I personally think it's cheap however really delicious and I highly recommend it for dinner. They offered free appetisers and free desserts which was also really nice! Lastly, the atmosphere here is great with enough space for you to enjoy your food. Overall, I highly recommend this p

I've stopped by the Curry Pot twice now since being here in the city and I must say... the food is incredible! Some of the best Indian food I've had in such a long time! The menu actually has a little bit of everything to offer and at a very reasonable price! I actually have had the chicken masala, butter chicken, garlic naan 🫓, tomato soup, and the samosas! All were amazing! They do also give you complementary water and a little appetizer before the meal comes out! The staff are also very friendly and I really enjoyed how they had a sink to wash my hands before eating! I definitely recom

I'm so glad I found this place on Google maps. I've been wanting to find a great curry place out here for so long. Thailand I'm yet to find any good ones at all. I found a good Nepalese in Vietnam but this is absolutely amazing! The flavours are so good, absolutely perfect and the nan bread is to die for! If you love a great curry come and eat here you will not be disappointed 😁. The staff are friendly as well.
