A five day Siem Reap itinerary with Angkor, town, food, countryside and a major day trip at a relaxed pace.
Days 1 and 2
Use two separate days for the main Angkor circuits. Avoid trying to see every famous temple on day one.
Day 3
Stay mostly in town. Eat well, visit a museum, browse markets and give yourself a real break from temple climbing.
Day 4
Take a day trip to Kulen, Beng Mealea, Koh Ker or Tonle Sap.
Day 5
Use the final day for anything you missed, a countryside ride, a spa, cafe time or one last temple at a slower pace.
Why five days is not too long
If you enjoy archaeology and culture, five days is comfortable rather than excessive.

Why five days works
Five days lets you alternate hard sightseeing with recovery. That rhythm usually produces a better trip than trying to use every daylight hour.
Leave one flexible block
I would keep half a day unscheduled for weather, fatigue or something discovered locally.
