Day 1
Start with the classic Angkor highlights.
Day 2
Use the Grand Circuit or a Banteay Srei focused temple day.
Day 3
Slow down in Siem Reap with markets, museum time, cafes, food and an evening show.
Day 4
Choose one real excursion. Phnom Kulen, Tonle Sap, Beng Mealea or Koh Ker are better when they are not squeezed into another day.
My preferred rhythm
I would alternate intense temple days with lighter city or excursion days. That keeps the trip enjoyable.

Day four gives you the freedom to leave the Angkor core without feeling that you are sacrificing something essential.
Choose one excursion
Kulen, Tonle Sap, Beng Mealea or Koh Ker all deserve enough time. I would pick one rather than stacking them.
