Best Family Hotels in Siem Reap: Pools, Space and Easy Temple Days

The best family hotels in Siem Reap for pools, larger rooms, breakfast, transport and practical Angkor logistics with children.

Updated 20 Oct 2026

For families, I would choose a Siem Reap hotel very differently from a couple or solo traveler. Pool, room space, quiet nights, breakfast timing and easy transport matter more than being on the liveliest street.

The goal is to make temple days easier, not to maximize how many restaurants are within fifty metres of the lobby.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra: best for resort-style family comfort

Sofitel is a strong option for families who want a larger pool, resort facilities and more space to recover after Angkor.

Shinta Mani Angkor: best central family option

Shinta Mani works well if the adults want a central location but the family still needs pools, breakfast and easy transport support.

Anantara Angkor Resort: quieter family resort

Anantara is more attractive if you want a quieter resort base and are happy using transport for central evenings.

Angkor Palace Resort & Spa: larger resort setup

This is another option to compare if you want space, pool time and a more resort-like environment rather than a small boutique property.

The Community Siem Reap: value-conscious family option

For families who want a pool and a polished stay without moving fully into luxury pricing, The Community is worth comparing.

What I prioritize for families

  • Family or connecting-room options.
  • A pool with shade.
  • Early breakfast or breakfast boxes.
  • Quiet rooms.
  • Easy access for tuk-tuk or car pickup.
  • Enough room to rest during the hottest part of the day.

Location or facilities?

For families, I would usually choose facilities over being directly on Pub Street. A short tuk-tuk ride to dinner is easier than a tired child with nowhere comfortable to recover after temples.
