Angkor Archaeological Park hours
Angkor Enterprise currently lists park entry from 5:00 AM with closing at 6:30 PM for the main Angkor Temples Park pass. Individual monuments can have more restrictive access, so do not assume every tower or enclosure stays open until the general park closing time.
Why 5 AM matters
The early opening makes sunrise at Angkor Wat possible. If you want a front-row reflection-pool position, leave Siem Reap well before sunrise and have your pass ready.
Bakan tower access
The upper central sanctuary at Angkor Wat is managed separately for safety and religious reasons. Capacity can be restricted and access rules may change. Children under 12 are not permitted to climb Bakan, and visitors must follow the official code of conduct.
Best times for quieter temples
Early morning is best for major monuments. Late afternoon can also be pleasant once day-tour traffic starts thinning. Midday is hot but can work for shaded sites and lunch breaks.

The archaeological park has a general access window, but individual monuments, upper levels and controlled areas can operate differently. I would treat the official park hours as the outer frame, then confirm any special access that matters to your route.
The easiest schedule for a first visit
Start early, make the main monuments your morning priority, use lunch as a real recovery break, then keep late afternoon for one or two sites rather than another full circuit.
