Things to Do in Siem Reap at Night: Beyond Pub Street
What to do in Siem Reap at night beyond bars, including Phare, markets, Khmer food, cocktails, spas, river walks and relaxed evenings.
Updated 20 Oct 2026
Siem Reap is easy at night because you do not need a complicated plan. You can go from a temple-heavy morning to a show, dinner, market or cocktail bar without crossing a huge city.
See Phare, The Cambodian Circus
Phare is one of the strongest non-temple evening activities in Siem Reap. It combines acrobatics, theatre and Cambodian storytelling rather than functioning as a generic dinner show.
See our Phare guide.
Walk the Old Market and riverside
For a low-effort evening, walk around the river, Old Market and central lanes. This is especially useful on the night before an early Angkor start.
Eat a serious Khmer dinner
One of the best evening activities is simply making dinner the main event. Siem Reap has enough Khmer restaurants and tasting menus to justify planning around food.
Have cocktails away from Pub Street
Miss Wong and BAR43 are examples of the quieter cocktail side of Siem Reap nightlife.
Go to Pub Street once
Even if it is not your scene, Pub Street is worth one walk-through for the energy and people-watching.
Book a massage or spa
After a long temple day, a massage can be a better evening plan than another three hours on your feet.
Do a night market food crawl
Use the central night-market area for snacks, fruit and casual eating, then move elsewhere if you want a more serious dinner.
My practical take
I would alternate big nights and quiet nights. Siem Reap is much better when every evening is not treated like the night before you leave.
